WILD WELLNESS FIRE + ICE WALK
Oct 24 & Nov 28 | Also available by group request
KUNANYI / MOUNT WELLINGTON, SOUTHERN TAS
Discover Wild Wellness through fire and ice
Experience kunanyi / Mount Wellington like never before. The Wild Wellness Fire + Ice Walk connects you to the mountain through breathwork, fireside journaling, icy plunging and storytelling. Many of us love this mountain but how well do we truly know it?
In our small group, expert guides share tales from indigenous inhabitants to famed botanists to wayward bushrangers. We’ll then shift to our own storytelling; opening journals inside a forest hut 1000m above sea level.
We begin at The Springs and journey past the likes of Sphinx Rock for bird spotting and views. As we reach higher elevation, Tasmania’s only qualified Wim Hof Method instructor, Dutchman Piet Blokker will guide us through our breathwork and plunge session. Having worked closely in Europe with Wim, he’s excited to bring this transformative method to kunanyi’s wild slopes. Though the cold-water element is not compulsory, it will ignite every sense.
After Piet’s session we’ll huddle into a stone chalet by the roaring fire. Lunch is a hearty Tasmanian affair, plump gourmet burgers and local flavours on the menu. After our journaling session we’ll continue our walk – discovering some of the most celebrated huts on the mountain. We’ll return to The Springs along the epic Organ Pipes Track; one of the great short walks of Tasmania.
Let kunanyi / Mount Wellington connect and ground you.
