FORESTIER PENINSULA, SOUTHEAST TAS
Exclusive access | By request | Day retreat
Dates: June 15/July 13/Aug 24/Nov 2/Dec 7
Explore the untamed with Wild Wellness
Venture down a winding gravel road with us – where the known world fades behind farm gates and into raw coastal wilderness few have laid eyes on. This land hums with history. It's the site of first contact between Tasmanian Aboriginal people and European explorers, home to the bay where Abel Tasman cast anchor in 1642. We'll be on land where more than 250 Tasmanian Devils roam; the largest wild population on the planet.
Bangor boasts 35 kilometres of commanding coastline. Rugged capes meet secluded coves. Today’s Wild Wellness playground spans 5,100 hectares of native forest, a sanctuary for Wedge-tailed Eagles tracing ancient thermals, swift parrots, and that elusive Tasmanian Devil.
Out on the Forestier Peninsula, private access allows us to go deep. We pad gently through towering Eucalypts, wander the pristine sands of Two Mile Beach, and crest the edge of 150-metre sea cliffs at Cape Frederick Hendrick. Our journey is guided by the elements and group feel; from a barefoot sandy wander through to an 8-kilometre adventure.

We pause through meditative breathwork and plunge in cool Tasmanian waters – optional but wildly invigorating! Our lunch is a picnic-style bounty of Tasmania’s best, freshly shucked oysters and a grazing platter bursting with regional flavours. We wrap hands round steaming mugs, our day inviting immersion into the relaxed Tasmanian way.
As we gather fireside for journaling you’ll discover the three pillars of Wild Wellness. The world slows, stillness settles in. Nearby, rolling waves weave into our consciousness. Thoughts loosen. Words find their way onto paper, carried by the same winds that have shaped this coast for millennia. Out here, we shed the noise of modern life and listen in to nature's voice. It’s rugged. Simple. Honest.
As the day draws to a close, we gather at Bangor Vineyard Shed for perhaps a tasting, farewell hot chocolate, or a local treat to take home. Join us on this family-owned property, where the forest meets the sea.
